About the Sag Harbor Fire Department

                           

                                                                          

 

    The Sag Harbor Fire Department is one of the oldest volunteer fire departments in the State of New York, Chartered on March 26, 1803. The Sag Harbor Fire Department is located on the south fork of Eastern Long Island, Its 165 volunteer members protect 5,000 winter residents and 15,000 summer residents in a area of 27 square miles. We operate out of 4 stations, with apparatus consisting of 4- Class A Pumpers; 1- 100' Aerial Ladder; 1- Hose Truck; 1- Tanker; 1- Brush Truck; 1- Rescue Truck; 1- Fire Police Van; 1- Utility Truck; 3 Chiefs Vehicles and a 25' Fire/Rescue Boat.

    The Department consists of 5 Companies: Gazelle Hose Company No.1; Montauk Hose Company No.2; Otter Hose Co.3; Murray Hill Hose Company No4; Phoenix Hook & Ladder Company No.1, The department also has 3 Squads: Heavy Rescue; Fire Police and a Dive/Water Rescue Team.
